Restoring Balance: Training the Parasympathetic Nervous System with Kristy Manual

Using restorative yoga and principles of Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science, this in-depth therapeutically-based restorative workshop will help you guide your students and one-on-one clients toward a deeper connection to their physical, mental, and emotional bodies, resulting in a more balanced central nervous system for optimum wellness.

What you will learn:
- Basic and advanced restorative poses, using minimal props
- To combine pranayama, meditation, and restorative poses with little or no propping to foster deep relaxation
- How to use essential oils to encourage healing
- Breathing techniques that most effectively elicit the body’s relaxation response
- How to work with different propping options that are designed to reduce sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system activity, increase parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system activity, and boost the immune system
