Reiki and Transformational Breath® with Adelle Brewer
Reiki is a Japanese technique of applying and balancing energy or electrical patterns, addressing the body, mind and spirit. A Reiki treatment is given by a Reiki practitioner placing hands on or above parts of the receiver's body. Reiki is gentle and non-intrusive and brings wholeness to the recipient and the Reiki practitioner. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that surrounds and flows through the recipient. Reiki treats the whole person and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being. It restores the natural energy balance in the body; provides deep relaxation, evokes a sense of peace and well-being; brings mental clarity, insights and vivid images; and compliments the healing properties of other medical treatments and therapies.

Yoga, Massage, Pilates with Christi Messer
Christi began her yoga practice in 1998 in Newport Beach California, which has been a catalyst for her passion to heal her and others’ bodies comprehensively.
Christi has studied with various published yogis and found that most were contradicting each other when they spoke about anatomy. These contradictions led her to search and find a 40 hour teaching training course with teachers based in anatomical alignment in 2006. Christi was then inspired in 2006 to work on a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Therapy at Texas State University, San Marcos. During her undergrad work she attended and graduated a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT, program at Esther Vexler Yoga School, San Antonio Texas.
Upon graduation in 2010 with her BESS she acquired a CPT in Personal Training through the ACSM. Throughout school, Christi taught Yoga and Pilates for Gold’s Gym,Bally Total Fitness, and The Synergy Studio. Christi’s hard work and dedication got her accepted into Physical Therapy school at the University of Texas at San Marcos where she united yoga and physical therapy. During this time in Graduate school she did extensive research in Yoga Rehabilitation and Lower Back Pain as well as Meditation and Yoga in the Special Olympics. She received a Master’s degree in Recreation Therapy, where she acquired her CTRS in 2014, using meditation, yoga, play, dance and art in acute psychiatric settings to heal emotional, mental and physical pain.
Immediately after graduating with her MS in Recreation Therapy, Christi went to a year of massage school in 2015 where she received her license in massage therapy, LMT.
Christi is presently doing and loving several things with her knowledge of the body and mind: working in home health, bringing aqua therapy, recreation therapy and massage therapy to special need clients and working as a Recreation Therapist at a local acute psychiatric hospital.
In addition to teaching various styles of Yoga and Pilates that stretch, strengthen and align the body at The Synergy Studio, she offers a private office within Synergy that specializes in personalized Yoga, Pilates, Massage Therapy and personal training. She offers assessments and private sessions to find the underlying structural, postural, occupational and muscular reasons for pain and weakness. Depending on the individual’s need she will use deep tissue, trigger point therapy or relaxation massage to unwind the bodies tensions and in conjunction will prescribe tailored exercises that use strengthening, flexibility and core mindfulness to maintain massage results for a longer lasting and permanent effect.
Christi’s goal at The Synergy Studio is to conquer long-standing pain for increased mobility and quality of life. This custom training is for athletes, sedentary individuals and partners wishing to advance their practice and health.

Massage Therapy with Rachel Suarez
Rachel Suarez graduated from AMTT, Academy for Massage Therapy Training, in 2008, and after 6 years of working in the spa setting, decided to start her own massage therapy practice. When people think of a massage, they think of the pampering, lighter touch massage that's given at spas. To be considered relaxing, this type of massage is not usually intended to work on the chronic pain conditions that people have. Rachel doesn’t believe this has to be the case for most people looking for relief from chronic pain. She believes that by putting the mind and body into a state of deep relaxation, she is able to effectively relieve tension buried deep within the soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia). Every body is different, therefore every massage should be too!
Deep tissue, relaxation, and sports massage integrated effectively to heal both the body and the mind.

Massage Therapy with Todd Morgan
Todd Morgan has been a massage therapist for 9 years. He began massaging after his second child with major disabilities passed away. Todd studied massage therapy as an avenue to heal, and make a difference in peoples’ lives. He recently re-located to San Antonio, joining us from Los Angeles, California.
Todd is a strong therapist. He is great at deep tissue work. He has been referred to as a ‘Strong Swedish Massage Therapist.’ If you have never had a massage from a very strong therapist, you are in for a wonderful experience.
Todd works with the whole person. He always brings his heart and intuition to the massage table, and is very open to client’s physical, as well as emotional needs. He finds that holding onto an injury, or guarding, is many times the cause of chronic issues. Working with people to release and let go, his clients are able to find the inherent natural healing of their body.
To make an appointment, email Todd at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 818-521-1007.
